[TN-Bird] Neighborhood arrivals

Yesterday afternoon we saw our first northern rough-winged swallows and barn
swallows for our neighborhood this year. There was also a truly scraggly
looking broad-winged hawk working its way north. It was missing some flight
feathers as well as a couple of tail feathers.
This morning I heard a prairie warbler singing along the ridge behind our
house. It was a first for spring for us. It is the first I have heard in at
least 30 years. I was able to hear it thanks to a new toy I got last week which
shifts the pitch of the song down into a range I can hear.
