The Great Blue Heron nesting colony located just north of the Industrial
Park off I-40 is active again this year.  It's located on the south side of
I-40 in the swamp area just east of exit 76 near Jackson, Madison Co.
There are 6 active nests.  Adults have been sitting near the nests since
late February.  This site has been active for several years.

Also I had 7 Eurasian Collared-Doves yesterday in front of DeVilbiss (where
I work) in the Jackson Industrial Park.  One bird was singing as I walked
in this morning and another one was giving a display flight complete with
the "cat call".
