FreeLists / tn-bird / [tn-bird] Hooded Warbler, C. Loon, La Waterthrush in Knoxville

A male hooded warbler perched on one of our front yard Dogwood
trees this early morn.  We are only a few miles from Sharp's
Ridge on another nearby ridge in Fountain City.  

Yesterday afternoon at Adair Park, a common loon w/ breeding/
summer plumage was slowly swimming in the small creek fed pond
amongst the mallards & domestic varieties. Leigh also spotted us
a Louisiana Waterthrush hopping around the thickets on the
pond's water edge.

Sadly, Morph & Mindy the eastern screech owls some of us have
been fortunate to see recently, have not been seen the last 2
visits/ past week.
