I noticed a posting from Tracey Everson about purple finches leaving from the 
Chattanooga area.  I just saw three males and one female (there may have been 
more) in a walnut tree at my home today (4/3/02).  Those are the first I have 
seen this year.  They didn't indicate if they had just come from Hamilton Co.
