As most of you know, the TOS is sponsoring a Foray in Polk County over
Memorial Day week-end this year.  You may not be aware that there will
also be a Foray in DeKalb County June 20-23, 2008.  The two focal
species of the 2008 DeKalb County Foray are the Loggerhead Shrike and
the Cerulean Warbler, each of which is a species deserving of special
efforts on the part of the state birding community to monitor its
population.  You will get a chance to do that in DeKalb County this June
where an effort will be made to track down all breeding pairs of these
species in that county.
 
If you are able to take part in the DeKalb County Foray during the third
week-end in June 2008, drop a line to me or to Carol Williams,
co-coordinator of this foray, and we'll be glad to set you up with one
or more foray blocks to cover during the foray.
