Sunday morning my wife Bonnie called me to our front
window where we saw 3 Turkeys searching for food between
the edge of our bank and the Harpeth River. Later in
the day they wandered back coming up the bank to
within 20 yards of our front door, a nice yard bird.
Harbingers of spring are indeed out and about.
Sunday afternoon as I was out walking near our home,
I spotted a Rough-winged Swallow flying on our side of
the Harpeth River, certainly an early visitor.
Monday morning, before I left for work, I spotted
3 N. Flickers on a branch within 3 feet of each other.
