On a walk through Phase I at Shelby Bottoms Greenway in Davidson county 
yesterday evening looking for American Woodcocks, there were about 60 Tree 
Swallows in a flock flying over the field with the observation tower.  I heard 
them first, then saw the group, which flew around together until dark.  I 
spotted three Woodcocks in the second field, and heard several more doing their 
display flights.  I didn't note any in the observation tower field; maybe the 
loud frogs interfere with thier peents and displays, causing them to go to the 
quieter fields.
