Hazel Cassel and I birded Radnor Lake along the road this morning and had our 
first of season Wood Ducks.  There was a pair at the east end.  We met Ranger 
Brian Becker on our way out and he said he had seen 8 Wood Ducks there on 
Feb. 26.  Other waterfowl present were Canada Geese, Gadwall, Black Ducks, 
Mallards, Ring-necks, Lesser Scaup, and Buffleheads.  A prolonged Winter Wren 
sighting along Otter Creek at the east end was an added bonus.  And we also had 
a 
brief view of an otter about half way down the lake.  No swallows or martins 
yet.
