[TN-Bird] Sightings Report 2 Mar 2007, Shelby Farms area, Memphis, Shelby County

Sightings Report 2 Mar 2007, Shelby Farms area, Memphis, Shelby County 
Real windy day at the farms (25-30mph gusts). Visited all the normal places.
The Ross's Goose and the 6 Greater White Fronted may be the same that were
reported last week. All Canada geese looked to be of the large variety, and
not as many seen as in last visits I have made there. L Scaup was alone on
the catch-em lake fish pond. 9 species of waterfowl today.

Observation date:     3/2/07,420-435pm

Mourning Dove     7

Carolina Wren     1

American Robin     18

Location:     TN, Shelby Farms Picnic Shltr 4/Lake

Observation date:     3/2/07,435-450pm

Notes:     Small White Goose w/very small beak (Beak reminded me of the
smaller Cackling Goose beak)Pink/Orange in color from distance with setting
sun on it. Very little black on the outline of wingtips seen when moving the
wings. Swimming alone in the NWC of the lake near the shallow island area.
Several Canada's nearby. Not much else on the lake.

Notes:     Greater White Fronted Geese and N.Shovelers seen in the flooded
cornfields at east end of Shelby Farms.
