[TN-Bird] Short-eared Owls at Nine Mile Crossroads

Herb and Carol Wolf from Woodbury and I saw all four of the Short-eared Owls on
Nine Mile Crossroads between 5:30 and 6:00 Friday afternoon. There was only
one Northern Harrier and one Red-tailed Hawk in the same field and neither
bothered the owls. There were also lots of Red-winged Blackbirds and Eastern
Meadowlarks around the pond. The owls were so late in flying we didn't get
photos but the wait was worth the look with two of them sitting in the same
tree.
