On March 1, 2006 I birded Chickamauga Lake.  Lake elevation was 677.  The 
following is a summary of the trip (does not include a full list of birds 
seen).

From I-75 I took Exit 36 and went west on State 163.  I stopped first at 
North Mouse and Spring Creek embayments and saw:

Wilson Snipe- 22
Killdeer- 6
Hooded Mergansers- 4
Green-winged Teal- 4


Then on State 163 west I stopped at Rogers Creek embayment and saw:

Wilson Snipe- 33
Killdeer- 42
Least Sandpiper- 1

Then on State 163 west I stopped at Price's Creek embayment.  The mud flats 
were covered by the lake so that there was no or very little shorebird 
habitat.  No shorebirds seen.

I took State 58 south to Gunstocker Creek embayment and saw:

Killdeer- 10
Sandhill Cranes- 122
Hooded Mergansers- 4
Gadwall- 2
Wilson Snipe- 7

I then traveled east on State 306 and stopped at Sugar Creek embayment to 
see:

Killdeer- 13

From there I kept going east on State 306, then onto State 308 to Candies 
Creek embayment to see:

Gadwall- 4
Green-winged Teal- 22
Killdeer- 35
Least Sandpiper- 12

I continued down 308 and stopped at South Mouse Creek embayment to see:

Killdeer- 3
Wilson Snipe- 17
