To clear up all possible misunderstanding I am going to post twice in =
one
day which I hope never too do again. Today 3/2/06, Ethridge TN was south =
of
Lawrenceburg TN in Lawrence county Tennessee. Were it will be tomorrow I
don't know, I hope in the same spot. The list I am keeping includes =
Rose's
pond and all the land within 1/2 mile of the pond. This may sound big =
but it
is that far to the nearest shrubs and trees were I can get brush birds, =
the
pond is in the middle of a large cord field and cant be seen from the =
road
were there are crops growing. Yes Black Necked Stilts are rare. There =
was
one record for the county before I started finding then at this pond. I =
went
there today and it was sunny and 70 degrees I saw one turkey vulture and =
a
pipit.

Thanks to all the people that said hi to me I thought all the people n =
this
forum were old people but  am glad to know there are young people too. I
keep written records of all the birds I see and inter most of them into =
my
computer program. I do not have a camera and stink at photography, so =
all
rare birds are validated by witnesses only. For the person that needs =
black
necked stilt for there life list I have them every year and last year I =
had

Here is the current list From January first to March first; there are 42
species so far. For reference I will call this pond Rose's Pond, because
that is the name of the family that owns it. When it is full it is close =
to
4 acres but spring rain pushes it to over 15 acres. I am doing poorly =
with
winter waterfowl because it did not flood this year and the water is =
low.
Last year we had 14 species of water birds at one time in the early =
spring.
I have been taking much too much of your time so I will go now.
