[TN-Bird] Birds of Ecuador

My wife and I recently returned from participating in a mission trip to
Ecuador ( Feb24-March 6). As Ecuador is the bird Capital of the world we had
to
take a couple of days for birding in the Mindo region of Ecuador. We hired a
local bird guide for two mornings. It was well worth the 25-30 dollars we
paid for each mornings birding. With the two days of birding plus a few (
very few) birds we identified on our own we had 91 species. There were also
several that went unidentified. Our list is barely scratching the surface of
the 1500 or so birds in Ecuador. I must say it is going to take a while to
get
satisfaction from our local birds again. Anyway here is the list. It is
well worth the trip and expense to bird Ecuador. I think we stayed gone too
long as their were Turkey Vultures sitting in our back yard the morning after
we got home. Great Birding!!
