        Thursday, 3 March 2005, around 5 p.m., as I drove past the NES
building on Church Street in downtown Nashville (Davidson County), an
adult peregrine took flight from the southeast corner of the NES parking
lot, probably less than 12 feet from my front right tire.  It alit,
prey-less, on the top of the east wall of the NES building where it
remained as I drove off.
         

        Friday, 4 March 2005, around noon, as I drove past the
Tennessean on Broadway in downtown Nashville (about 1 block from the NES
Building), an adult peregrine stooped to try (unsuccessfully) to take a
pigeon in flight over the railroad tracks on the south side of the road.

         

        Prior to this, I had not seen an adult peregrine in downtown
Nashville since the fall migration of 2004.
