Since there are currently on TN-Bird a few posts about Christmas Bird Counts,
I figured I should add the data for the Smokies Count, centered near
Gatlinburg, Tenn, in Sevier County.
The data was submitted late to Audubon as I waited for some information to be
sent to me.

Special Aspects for Count Circle
Right as most of us got started, around 9:00 a.m., a heavy snow began to fall
and all roads in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park were closed. This
prevented some people from getting to their trails, or forced them off early.
Thus much less time was spent in the field this year.
