[TN-Bird] Rufous Hummingbird Day 98

Willie's 5:51 a.m. appearance today brought us more than the usual joy.
He didn't come to the feeder yesterday afternoon after 3:45 p.m. and
frankly we were a bit concerned that something had happened to him.
There was no disturbance from the other yard birds as our not feeding
them on Willie's side of the house has worked out well. And that pesky
little Sharp-shinned wasn't around, so Willie's absence was a bit of a
mystery. And it was evident that he was unusually hungry this morning
as, after his first assurance sip, he sat and drank deeply three times
in the first five minutes. The nursery about a quarter mile from us has
a lot of new plants, so maybe he just decided to try a new dining place
yesterday afternoon.

We're trying to decide what would be appropriate for Willie's centennial
day with us. Any suggestions? Maybe a miniature GPS? How about a
picture of a female Rufous Hummingbird to remind him why he needs to get
back to the West? Seems like we should do something special to
celebrate all the pleasure he's brought to so many people for 100 days.
