We continue to have 80 to 100+ Pine Siskin daily. (On the recent warm days we
did not see that many) They feed at the five Thistle feeders that we have as
well as a raised platform feeder with sunflower heart and the hanging sunflower
heart feeders. There can be so many at times that 30 to 40+ birds will be on
the ground under the feeders.

We have a Coopers Hawk that comes to our yard on a regular basis. Yesterday I
scared him away three times by noon. The birds are used to himto some degree
that they are back at the feeders fairly quickly after I scare him off.

We have 28 feeders in our backyard and have a variety of birds in the back yard
most of the day. We fill feeders often throughout the day.

We live in a suburban area that has been carved out of a rural area in
southern Collierville right at the Mississippi line very close to Hwy 72 and
Hwy 385.

We will miss our Pine Siskins when they leave to go north. We have really
enjoyed them, they are pretty used to us and if you stand fairly still outside
and it is real cold they will come down and start eating again.
