Ten birders took part in today's trip to the Percy Priest
Lake area in Davidson and Rutherford counties. This diverse
weather day started with all in winter garb and ended with
most of us in t-shirts.

A good number of Common Loons are still present at Priest,
with some very spiffy ones in full alternate plumage. It was 
good to see Tree and Barn Swallows. Purple Martins are back
also. Total species for the day was fifty-two.

Our birding day ended at Murfree Spring. This spring fed
marsh is located in downtown Murfreesboro and it is a jewel.
