[TN-Bird] Saw-whets: let's all listen somewhere

TN-Birders:
If any of you think you have Northern Saw-whet Owl territory nearby or just
want to check and see if a few Saw-whets might be near your house, you might
spend a few minutes here and there listening or playing a tape. Males have
started to sing last week in southern and central Quebec. Surely there are
some birds somewhere in Middle Tennessee and East Tennessee, outside the higher
elevations, who are in the mood for a few notes of their best love songs. We
will never find out until we try. Get out on your deck and listen. Even if
you are not in very good habitat. Walk out for a few minutes on some of these
warm nights and listen. Who knows what you may here. Nothing ventured,
nothing gained. By all means, post here on TN-Birds if you have any success
are even think you may have heard one. What will it hurt if we share a little
adventure -- even if we are not correct ? Remember, you may even have the
bird fly in near you and buzz you or perch in sight.
Let's go birding......
