This morning and early afternoon, Alice Loftin, Linda Northrop, and I
made a whirlwind tour of Kinser Park, Wal-Mart Distribution Center, two
Lick Creek Bottoms Wildlife Management Area properties, and various back
roads in Greene County, with good results.  Here are the highlights:

Northern Shoveler (2 on Gravel Woods Road),
Blue-winged Teal (2 on Cartwheel Road),
Greater Yellowlegs (12 on Sapp Road),
Lesser Yellowlegs (on Sapp Road--first observation this spring),
Red-headed Woodpecker (on Green Road),
Tree Swallow (14 at 2 sites),
Purple Martin (10 at intersection of Fillers Mill Road / Cartwheel
Road),
Barn Swallow (on Kinser Park Lane--first observation this spring),
Pine Warbler (at Kinser Park),
Chipping Sparrow (on Kinser Park Lane--[Linda Northrop had one at her
feeder yesterday, the first bird of the spring]),
Rusty Blackbird (2 at Lick Creek Bottoms Wildlife Management Area).
