[TN-Bird] Sandhill Cranes

Sat., 3-1-03, Sandhill Cranes must have been flying by the hundreds, but in
small groups. At 10:30 a.m. I stepped out to see a group of 25, then during a
1:30 minute walk in the woods, I could hear them about every 15 minutes but was
unable to count them. At noon....154.
Driving on Hwy 111 between Byrdstown and Livingston,TN, my brother & wife saw
144 in three groups about noon.
A good crane watcher would have been out from 6:00 a.m. 'til dark.

Byrdstown, TN
