[TN-Bird] Am White Pelican in Lenoir City, Loudon County, east Tenn

Tony King called me to report that a neighbor saw an AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN
near the BALD EAGLE nest in Lenoir City. The pelican was seen from Lee Drive,
which is below Fort Loudoun Dam.
(NOTE: There should be no problem reporting this eagle nest as many already
know about it, plus it is on the opposite side of the river from where people
would stop to view it, quite enough distance that viewers won't disturb the
nesting process. It is often a good idea to keep hawk and owl nest sites
somewhat secret as they are the types of places many people want to go,
especially for photographing. Birders around the country have been angered by
this policy - standard on many state listservs - but it is intended to help
the birds.)
