Feb. 18, 2007
I took a drive through W. Greene Co. Sun. afternoon, and took a quick check
of the pond, W. of Turner lane. Sure enough, the 4 Greater White-fronted
Geese were still there among the Canada and Mallards. I also saw a White
Goose resting, but could get no additional identifying marks. The sign said
no tresspassing, so I did not tary too long.
The TWRA refuge on S. Mohawk, had 10 N. Harriers coming to roost, but no
Short-eared owls yet. I did venture a little further East, and located on
S.Oakwood Rd. a flock of 27 pipits and 42 Wild Turkeys. Will keep on chkn
for those owls.
