- From: "John Walko" <walko@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>
- To: <tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>, "Rob Peeples" <wpeeples@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
- Date: Sun, 11 Feb 2007 15:33:05 -0600
Location: Peterson Lake Nature Center
Observation date: 2/10/07, 1255pm-240pm
Notes: Walk on the existing and new (under construction)boardwalk to the
river and back. A good deal of work has been completed on the boardwalk
these last two weeks. Almost all the remaining framing has been done and a
couple of good rainless days should see all the planks go down. Railings to
follow along with benches etc.. A good article in the Commercial appeal
Sunday 11 Feb about the boardwalk. Todays birding was slow but a fruitful 29
species. More importantly it was a beautifully sunny day to get out for a
walk in the woods.
