Yesterday, Feb. 1, my mom, David Hollie, and I went up to try for the 
Short-eared Owls.
We arrived at 5:00 EST.  One Northern Harrier was seen on a fence post and then 
flying
and hovering for the next hour.  By 6:10, we were about to give up on the owls. 
 However, 
at 6:14, one finally flew up to a fence post, then we spotted two more flying 
in the field to the 
right.  Then another in the closest tree behind the pond.  We were able to get 
good scope
views of the one in the tree.  By 6:22, they were gone.  This was a lifer for 
all of us.
