[TN-Bird] Pine W, Tree S, shrike...

Kyker Bottoms WMA
Blount County
2 hours at midday
Sunny, little wind, about 45 degrees
Today, while birding with Warren Bielenberg, I heard at least 3
different Pine Warblers singing. They were my first of season.
We also had loads of ducks and sparrows, a Loggerhead Shrike, at
least 3 Eastern Phoebes, 2 Bobwhite, a Palm Warbler and an American
Kestrel. 47 species in about 2 hours there, over midday. We also
had at least 3 Tree Swallows
On Sunday Feb 27 I'll be leading a KTOS trip there, and if nothing
drastic changes, it promises to be a great trip.
Here is the list from today:

Great Blue Heron - at least 3
American Black Duck - ~25 most I've ever had in Blount Cnty at once
Ring-necked Duck - ~ 25, a low count for Kyker
Gadwall - 30
Canada Goose - 2

Hooded Merg - 1 drake
Northern Pintail - 4
Northern Shoveller - 12
Green-winged Teal - 76 most anyone has seen there this year?
American Wigeon - 3
Red-shouldered Hawk - 1
Red-tailed Hawk - 3 or more
American Kestrel - 1
Turkey Vulture - 2
Northern Bobwhite - 2
Killdeer - 1
*Common Snipe - 7
Mourning Dove
Northern Flicker - 1
Downy Woodpecker - 1
Eastern Phoebe - 3 or more
*Tree Swallow - 3 or more
American Crow
Blue Jay
Carolina Chickadee
Tufted Titmouse
Carolina Wren (we also hear what I think was a Winter Wren, but never
saw it, and I'm not 100% sure)
Eastern Bluebird
American Robin
Northern Mockingbird - 5 or more
Loggerhead Shrike - 1
European Starling
Palm Warbler - 1 "western"
Pine Warbler - 3
Yellow-rumped Warbler - 5 or more
Northern Cardinal
Field Sparrow
Song Sparrow
Swamp Sparrow
White-throated Sparrow - only 1!
(missed White-crowned, Savannah and towhee)
Red-winged Blackbird - 1
Brown-headed Cowbird - a flock of tens
Eastern Meadowlark - a flock of 17
House Finch - 1
