[TN-Bird] Seven Islands and PUMA gourds

Yesterday I took two poles with nine more purple martin gourds to Seven
Islands Wildlife Refuge in east Knox County. On the way out, I saw a
northern harrier in one of the upper broomsedge fields and a bald eagle
perched near the downstream river island.
Does anyone have any suggestions about placing the purple martin gourds?
Lastyear a PUMA condo with about 5 gourds hanging underneath was erected and
successfully attracted nesting martins. To continue to provide nesting
sitesand "grow" the colony, should the new gourds be placed near the other
ones already there or can they be spread out to nearby locations or does it
matter?
suggestions appreciated.
