"Chickamauga Dam:

  RED-BREASTED MERGANSER,  
  2 or 3 male, 3 female"

Should have read:  

 "HOODED MERGANSER,  
  2 or 3 male, 3 female"

I was thinking about our Red-breasted Nuthatch.
