After being alerted by trumpet calls, we witnessed a V shape of
34,  a partial V shape of 25, followed by a straight as an arrow
line of 42 Sandhill Cranes flying high above our Cleveland, TN
home Sunday afternoon.  All were seen in the course of 2 minutes
tops, and they were heading towards Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge (to
join the party there no doubt). Quite a nice yard bird to add to
the list.
