[TN-Bird] mallards

Friday afternoon I was in Nashville, near where Browns Creek goes under Lealand
Lane. I grew up there & never once saw any waterfowl in the creek. (I spent a
lot of time by the creek since our house was just across the street.) I was
pleasantly surprised to see a pair of mallards on the creek despite the
still-high waters.
As I write this, around 9 pm, there is a VERY loud barred owl which must be
within a few yards of the house. Quite noisy!
