[TN-Bird] Purple Finches and some nonsense

Hi folks,
As I play catch-up with email (I was at an EMT refresher course last
week, so fell behind... again) I see a few posts about Purple
Finches.
We had none at our house south of Maryville in Blount County last
year, but we've had a handful every single day that I've been home
during daylight hours since we returned from holiday travels. Most
often we've had 2 males and 2 females. A few times we've had 3 of
each. I don't recall seeing fewer than 4, nor do I recall an odd
number at any time.
The finches go marching two by two, hurrah, hurrah...
Ok, I must have celebrated the Patriots victory too much!!!
Speaking of which, did everyone see that Parus major during the
halftime show?
Ok, Wallace, cut me off now, before I REALLY make a fool of myself...
Charlie
