[TN-Bird] Turkeys and Ginseng Berries

Tess,
I don't know. I would think that if turkeys do forage on ginseng berries, would
they not ultimately spread the ginseng seeds. Other birds that eat berries seem
to help spread the berry seeds.
Until someone comes up with some proof, I would still be inclined to blame
over-harvesting by humans for ginseng rarity.
Probably there are some botanists or biologists who can shed some light on the
relationship (if any) between Wild Turkeys and ginseng.
