Ken and Mike, et. al.

I know the tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxx is getting a
little slow and boring but some of us belong to
other "professional" lists and come home after 12
to 16 hour work days to find an inbox full with
75+ posts. We don't have time to sort through the
socializing and at-a-boys.

I send this publicly with no apologies and would
hope that with the recent (ongoing) chaos of this
list some of it would stop and we could get on
track or at leaat make the goals known to all so
that those of us that don't have the time for
such shananigans can unsubscriber (oops
unsubscribe) and get off!

Wallace please if you choose to censor (moderate)
me do it publicaly (like that last poor soul)
instead of privately like the last time I got
moderated (censored). I'm sure your paper has the
rules on censorship. I don't know exactly but I
think it goes something like "you can't censor
simply because you don't agree with or admire the
person you are censoring." I probably have the
language way off but you can check.

On a birding note, I assume this is acceptable???

Huge flocks of Cedar Wax Wings (sorry for not
using the abreviations. I will look up
abreviation and repost if anyone needs that.
Please email me privately) swarming the
Murfreesboro holly trees this week mixed with
flocks of American Robins (I think I can, I think
I can...AMRO...yea for me) nothing much else
except when I checked on the heron rookery (still
Rutherford Co) I saw a great egret nearby (across
the road) at some recently flooded farm ponds
(last weekend Jan 02), no great blue herons but a
large number of nests can be seen from the road.
This is a particularly fragile site since owner
of the land recently died and the area that the
rookery is on could be subdivided any day.

Pairs of red=tails (no "golden-morphs" I guess
I'm out of touch, please email (privately) info
if you have it, on this coloration) near known
(20+) nests on a daily basis. Even the pair that
were disturbed in midnest last year by housing
"development". The last house is maybe 40 feet
from the nest but the birds are back and seem to
be adjusting just fine.

Cooper's hawks (adult) in the yard on a daily
basis picking off little birds from the feeders.

Thanks for all the private support! I don't have
time to answer you all (though I did try to
answer the negative ones...there were far fewer)
The rabbit, Popcorn, is great and has, with time
and patience developed very good manners and is
delightful! I can send you digital photos of the
little cutie if you email me privately. Thanks
for asking. It just shows what you can do when
you set some limits, let go of the ego and don't
try to please everyone. And with this I gladly
and finally "unsubscriber" oops "unsubscribe"
from the tn-bird-audubon.free.org-list or
whatever it is. Thanks.

Happy Birding,
Candy Swan
Murfreesboro, TN
