[TN-Bird] Cades Cove CBC

The Cades Cove Christmas Bird Count was held on 30 December 2007.
Twelve people participated in 7 parties. The day began with
continuous moderate rain which slacked off around 10:00 in the
morning. Temperatures were in the low-middle 40s.
61 species were recorded which is slightly below average.
High counts were recorded for Bufflehead, Wild Turkey,
Chipping Sparrow, and Field Sparrow. Ruffed Grouse, American
Coot, Killdeer, Eastern Meadowlarks, and Red Crossbills have
been regularly seen on this count but were not observed. The
most unusual species found was a lone House Wren.
