From I 40 West out of downtown Nashville, take Briley Pkwy north and  get off 
at Hwy 12 (Ashland City Hwy). Turn left (west) and go to Old  Hickory Blvd. 
South on Old Hickory Blvd. about 2 1/2 miles.  Turn  right on Cleeces Ferry Rd. 
and go about 1/2 mile where you get to an open area  to look out onto the 
ponds and sod farm to the right.  The cranes have been  mostly seen beyond the 
ponds in the worked sod farm.
