We had extremely low numbers of Killdeer and Horned
Larks. Many of the open agricultural stubble fields
had no birds in them at all. I don't know if this was
because of less leftover grain due to less crop
production because of the drought or what but it was
baffling.
Participants were: Jill Banks, Charlie Barnett,
Elizabeth Barnett, Bob Ford, Martha Lyle Ford, Mark
Greene, Sam Harboldt, Mary Sheppard, Mike Todd, and
Jeff Wilson.
Thanks to all the participants.
Good birding,
Mark Greene
