Carol and I were out birding this morning near Boone Dam, Blountville, TN,  
Sullivan County. 
 
Access to the upper overlook is closed due to construction so we stopped by  
the lower overlook below the dam on Boone Dam Road. The bald eagle was perched 
 upon tree overlooking the churning water. We were able to observe it for  
approximately 10 minutes before it flew down river toward Little Wilbur  Dam.
 
Other birds of interest included great blue heron  & kingfisher.
