Hi, Tim.
I just got back from the Yucatan in Mexico. We took three guides.
We found the Princeton Illustrated Checklist to be most useful in the
field. Nice pictures, lots of info, spanish name of the bird. The
artwork in the Howell-Webb seems a little off to me, but its
size is that guide's real problem. And the Peterson Guide was just
easy to leave in the car.
I looked for a spanish language guide while I was there, but did
not find anything.
