I'm back on the birding wagon after a brief pause due to a job transfer.  Just 
had the privledge of taking a trip to grenada.  Had a bird guide lined up "I 
thought" then could not manage to contact him while I was there.  Still was a 
good trip.  Managed to see the Grenada Dove (highly endangered only about 100 
+or -) left.  I have never seen such thorny habitat.  I think I sacrificed a 
pound of flesh to the briars.
What has your general experience been with bird guides in non USA areas?
