Birders,

I am deeply saddened to report the passing of Linda Northrop.   She 
slipped away peacefully at about 2:00 this afternoon at Takoma Hospital 
in Greeneville, where she had been a patient since Christmas day.

A memorial service will be held later in the coming week, probably 
toward the weekend.  I will post full details as soon as they are made 
available.

The family indicates that memorial contributions may be made to the 
American Cancer Society or to any research to fight breast cancer.
