[TN-Bird] Peregrine Falcon, Elizabethton, TN

David Thometz and I saw a Peregrine Falcon make a dive on a flock of European
Starlings near the Magic Mart in Elizabethton, Carter Co., TN, on Jan. 3.
This is the location where Wal-Mart was FORMERLY located. We had just finished
taking down ornaments from the Lee & Lois Herndon Chapter's tree at Sycamore
Shoals State Park in Elizabethton.
It was a good day for falcons. We also had an American Kestrel near Holiday
Inn in Erwin, TN; and two additional American Kestrels near the Okolona Exit
off I-26 between Unicoi and Johnson City.
We also saw an Eastern Meadowlark in the town of Unicoi.
Bryan Stevens,
Hampton, TN
