Standifer Gap Marsh, Chattanooga, Hamilton Co., TN
December, 2005
AMERICAN BITTERN: 1 on Dec 17, 1 on Dec 18 (jj Jacob Job) 

Virginia Rail: throughout month, estimated total 15+ individuals
  (max number seen or heard Dec 12 and 27: 14+ at south side)

SORA:  throughout month except CBC day, estimated 6+ individuals,  (seen or 
heard Dec 1, 5, 12, 18 jj, 24 jj, 26, 27). I believe Sora
have been present some previous winters, based on single notes, but this winter 
we have heard the full descending song and seen an individual or two)

Wilson's Snipe: 2 on Dec 12, 1 on Dec 27

House Wren:  1, Dec 17
Winter Wren:  1 to 3, Dec 5, 17, 22, 24 jj, 27 
Sedge Wren:   2 on Dec 22 jj, 1 on Dec 27; sedge wrens much less numerous this 
December as compared to last year
Marsh Wren:   1 to 5, Dec 1, 5 (5), 12, 17, 18, 22, 24, 27 (3)

GRAY CATBIRD:  1, Dec 24 jj  (2 late Catbirds on October 27) 

ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER:  1, Dec 22 and 24 jj
