He decided to come out in the rain at 6:43 a.m. and get his first drink.
It is very mild here today with temperatures in the high 50's and after
the delightfully warm day yesterday, he apparently didn't mind the
Cardinals and White-throated Sparrows getting up and out and wet before
he did.  

And as always happens in birding, he is sitting this morning in the bare
bush we wanted him to sit in yesterday.  A couple came to film
(digitize?) him yesterday and wanted to get some pictures of him
sitting.  But he has gradually gotten over his fear of the cedar bush
and the wrought iron stand to which he was momentarily stuck that cold
morning, so he went back to them.  They had photographed him before
around the feeder and got some more beautiful shots yesterday, but he
avoided the bare bush all day.
