While looking for eagles on the Tellico Lake system, as part of the Eagle 
Watch, Tony King and I found some interesting waterfowl on the river at Chota, 
which is in Monroe County in east Tennessee, south of Vonore.

Horned Grebe
3 male Common Goldeneyes
7 Red-breasted Mergansers
2 BLACK SCOTERS

We did see one adult Bald Eagle there...as well as one below Fort Loudoun Dam 
in Loudon County.
