[TN-Bird] I-840 and Owls

Last weekend while traveling I-840 I noted that much of it offered good
habitat for short-eared owls. Since I wasn't driving for a change, I had a
good
opportunity to keep scanning for an owl. Near the racetrack exit I saw one
bird fly up from the ground which could well have been an owl. It was being
harrassed by a few other birds. In years past I know that s-e- owls have been
seen
in this area.
Is there anyone who drives this road regularly and has had some good
sightings and in particular short-eared owls?
Good Birding in the New Year!
