[TN-Bird] Re: ALL ABOUT TN-BIRDS NET

Thank you, Wallace, for your usual well-written commentary regarding TB-bird.
It is, without doubt, the finest list I have seen for all the reasons you
mentioned. On some lists, messages come out every few days from the list
owners haranguing the subscriber over something that is "off topic." That is
very "off-putting," so I just read them and seldom participate in posting to
them, likely to their extreme delight.
Subscribers, pleases realize how lucky we all are to have Jeff Wilson's
"articles" to read on TN-birds FOR FREE!!!! I subscribe to all the birding
magazines I can afford (around ten), and Jeff writes better and imparts more
knowledge in one short post than many of those authors do in long articles,
and they GET PAID, however minimally it might be. We subscribers pay for
those magazines, therefore it costs us to read those articles. Folks, if you
cannot look this fabulous "gift horse" in the mouth, then do as the others
have told you -- delete! You'll be missing a lot.
Thanks to TN-birds, Wallace, Jeff and a hundred or so other who make each of
my days better by imparting their knowledge and experiences FOR FREE in a
world where people seldom give you anything for free and often do not even
have time to do a favor for a neighbor. Instead of "bitchin", slow down and
take the time to smell the roses or wild flowers and look at a few birds
while you are at it. Your stress levels will improve.
