TN-birders:

I, personally, would just like to state publicly that I think it is an
injustice to the people of the listserv for some to attempt to abbreviate the
posts of one of our most prolific posters, the 'Ole Coot' Jeff Wilson. The
amount of time and energy Jeff spends out in the field, observing the very
birds that this listserv is supposed to promote, dictates that he may have a
lot to say at times. This time and energy, combined with his knowledge and
passion for our birds, guarantees this. On top of this, Jeff has a knack for
writing that few could argue.

I look forward to, and learn a lot from, Jeff's posts concerning his
ramblings over this great state of ours, and particularly the western end I
call home. Whoever doesn't like to read Jeff's (or mine, or anybody else's)
lengthy posts call always "delete" them with no harm done, and the rest of us
can go on enjoying as we always have. If I am in the minority here, I
apologize, but if that's the case then what is a birding listserv actually
for (other than cats, plates etc. :')? This isn't the 1st time this subject
has come up, the same complaint was levied against me not too long ago, by
someone I believe has dropped off the listserv.

I enjoy the contributions off all our members, and learn something new from
practically all of you, whether it's birds directly or some other facet of
our hobby or environment.

Good birding!!!!!!
