Thanks for checking on this! It is good to know that 90% of my fee for the
bluebird on my license plates is going to the protection of non-game wildlife
(hurrah for the birds, salamanders, turtles, mussels, etc.!). As much as I
resent the raising of fees without any notice, at least only a small fraction is
going to that *&#* highway fund. (Maybe we can even get the new governor, with
all his bombast during the campaign against the Tenn. Dept. of Transportation,
to
push to do away completely with this unfair $4 tax for more road construction!)
