I thought about that, but they are thin clients, and I don't think any of
them run CE or any flavor of Windows.

The 2k clients were issued a permanent CAL already...

Thanks!

Simply get rid of the MSLicensing registry key on the client side and
they will grab new temporary licenses. There is no need to
uninstall/reinstall anything.

Subject: [THIN] Re-installing Terminal Services

I have a client with a W2k Terminal Services running MetaFrame 1.8.

They installed this server minus the TSCALs not realizing they needed
them
(thanks a lot Dell!) So I ordered the TSCALs, but Dell says they will
ship
on April 9 but my first client is going to stop working 4/3.

I contacted Microsoft, told them the situation. They advised me to
remove
Terminal Services, reboot, then re-add Terminal Services (and another
reboot.) This will give me another 90 days for the clients using
temporary
licenses to get full licenses. I am going to do this tonight, however
I'm
not sure what to do about MetaFrame. My plan is to disable MetaFrame
during
this process, and re-enable it afterwards. Anybody ever done this, and
is
there anything I need to watch out for?

Thanks!

- Bob Coffman
