        Collect Paper Money

Today's site, from currency collector Cael Chappell, offers a presentation
on the world of banknote collecting. Gentle Subscribers, who may have never
considered the many absorbing aspects of this hobby, will find an
interesting display of its many facets.

"World paper money, banknotes or world currency, whatever name you prefer;
you will find an abundance of information for beginning and intermediate
collectors here at collectpapermoney.com. ... Have you ever wondered what
the banknotes of Jamaica look like? Is Vanuatu a country? Where is Surinam?
Who is the president of Togo? Collecting world paper money is a wonderful
way to learn about geography, anthropology, economics, mathematics,
politics, art, and even biology." - from the website

The site provides an informative section on banknote features, highlighting
specific aspects such as watermarks, issuing authorities, serial numbers,
metallic threads and holograms, among others. Additional sections include a
useful Tips for Collectors with further material on collection storage
methods, and eliminating duplicates. The pertinent image portions of the
currencies of more than 25 countries are alphabetically arranged in the
image identifier section, which is particularly helpful for banknotes which
dispense with naming the country of origin or which use a non-Roman
alphabet.
